What Is Bill C-11   Bill C-11 is proposed legislation the Liberal Government of Canada introduced to regulate Canadian content on social media platforms like YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.   The full text of Bill C-11 can be accessed here .   Entitled the Online Streaming Act this Bill gives power to the Canadian Radio and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to: (1)   Determine the parameters of Canadian content for internet content creators. (2)   Compel social media providers to alter their algorithms to make uploaded content deemed not “Canadian” enough undiscoverable.
